SIBERIANS AND DOGS
One of my favorite things about Siberians is their laid back temperament. For many cat families, dogs are also present in the house and there is always the question on if everyone will get along... Siberians are often described as "dog-like" with their personalities and behaviors - and, at least in my home, the cat vs. dog issue isnt of any concern whatsoever. I have been just thrilled at how well they all get along their puppy pal in the house.
I have a 3 year old golden retriever that has an energy level that can be mind boggling. But, she and the cats are all fast friends and they all actually really enjoy each others company.

Axl, the dad of our first litter of kittens, absolutely loves to wrestle and play with Cali, as do our other cats. It is really something to see the two of them together.
Cali has worked very hard to earn the job of chief kitten sitter in our home. Here are some great pictures of her helping with the kittens. She is very active in our kittens lives from birth, which helps our kittens adapt better with those who already have a dog as a member of their family.
The picture below is true love with one of our first babies.

The next one is definitely one of my favorites. Look closely at the kitten, he is "makin' biscuits" on Cali's leg. For those of you who have cat allergies and have not spent much time around cats, when kittens and cats are very content, they will sometimes knead blankets, their humans, or apparently their dogs (I call this instinct "makin' biscuits"). Cali loved it!

Cali has learned to become very patient when the babies kick her out of her bed and take it over for themselves - this happens with EVERY litter.
